I should have remembered to bring earplugs due to my ear issues because the volume was so loud. Many children were in attendance, and it's beneficial for them to witness Christian-based performances. I've always been a fan of Billy Currington, but the 1.5-hour dramatic skit didn't do much for me. I had expected to hear M. Tait's personal testimony based on YouTube videos I had seen. In Mississippi, he shared a story about his great-great-grandfather being 'Hanged' four generations back. He highlighted racial boundaries by describing himself as chocolate and the band as vanilla, stressing the need to overcome them with love. I understand the importance for children, but I wasn't interested in hearing about race relations, considering the successful coexistence of diverse populations in the Deep South for many years. After each song, the lead singer would throw his hands up and back, which seemed to be a praise gesture but also resembled a 'victor' pose.
